The words “colour” and “kwirky” are good words to describe Melissa, both as a person and an artist. Melissa loves to use colour and is known for her bright & kwirky style. Melissa’s goal is to create colourful & kwirky artworks that everyone can enjoy.
Melissa started painting in her teenage years and enjoyed both art & ceramics while at school. However, life took her in another direction, as a mum to her beautiful daughter, Taylor. Twenty years later, she returned to art as a way to de-stress. Colour Me Kwirky was born from Melissa’s desire to share her works.
Although Melissa had lessons in her early years, she is a largely self-taught artist, with a style that is constantly developing. She is excited to learn something, every time she creates a new piece. She expresses herself through her art and loves to explore the use of shapes & styles, as well as colour.
While Melissa loves spending time with her daughter, a walk with her dog, a wine in the evening and laughter with friends, she loves art … in all its forms. She may paint an animal character one day, some still life the next day and a portrait piece after that … and she loves them all.
Melissa loves to make people smile, so if selling her artworks makes someone happy, then she is happy … simple!
